MartinLogan Loudspeakers
Uncompromising performance. Unflinching accuracy. Unwavering reliability. Harnessing the myriad technical advantages of electrostatic principles to recreate sound in its truest form—this is what MartinLogan is all about.

MartinLogan makes some of the worlds finest loudspeakers. They pioneered the curved electrostatic driver to get around the problem that other electrostatics have of no dispersion. and they married this CLS driver to dynamic woofers to get full range speakers with the claruty of an electrostat witht he bass and dynamics of a dynamic speaker. Over the years their line has expanded to now include subwoofers and a very high quality line of dynamic speakers that use their Folded Motion® XT tweeter. The subwoofers are excellent and designed to sound great in music systems but they are also very good for multi-channel systems.

Electrostatic speakers are the MartinLogan Legacy

Curvilinear Line Source (CLS) Electrostatic Panel

All Martin Logan electrostatic speakers incorporate their unique CLS technology. Through our proprietary manufacturing method, they have built-in the panel’s gentle horizontal curvature. This unique design enhances the high frequency detail produced by the large radiating surface, without compromising overall sound quality. Notice how the gentle modern curve and perforation pattern gives way to the flat grille of the woofer section.

Controlled Dispersion Sound Radiation

The sound we hear from a loudspeaker is a combination of direct radiation from it to our ears, and reflections off of room surfaces—walls, floor, and ceiling. How our brains integrate this information is far from simple. Depending on the angle of incidence to the ears and the arrival-time difference between direct and reflected sound, reflections can either blur detail and stereo imaging, or enhance the natural impression of depth and openness.

Electrostatic panels, which are true dipole speakers, produce a nearly-ideal controlled dispersion radiation pattern. They send very little sound to the sides, thereby minimizing side-wall reflections, whose short arrival times tend to interfere with the perception of the direct sound. Their strong rear radiation, however, produces a generous amount of natural, ambience-enriching later-arriving mid- and upper register information.

ElectroMotion ESL
Amazing performance for the money
$2499.98 Pair
Long time MartinLogan enthusiasts are sure to describe ElectroMotion ESL as the second-coming of the legendary Aerius electrostatic speaker which debuted in 1992 and went on to sell in record numbers. This new ESL, however, boasts 40 percent more radiating surface, a superbly integrated and authoritative woofer, and a sensitivity rated at 91dB. In addition, the ESL is capable of being effortlessly powered by both receivers and high-end amplifiers alike.

The ElectroMotion ESL represents a bold new direction for electrostatic loudspeaker design. We were shocked at the perfrmace of this speaker. Real high end performance at a price that everyone can afford and at 91dB efficiency it can be driven by affordable electronics. The EM-ESL   features a full-sized 34-inch tall curvilinear XStat™ electrostatic transducer and a superbly integrated high-performance woofer, the new EM-ESL performs more like a mini-flagship than an entry level audiophile speaker. Designed for both 2-channel music enthusiasts and those seeking the worlds most articulate and dynamic multi-channel home theater systems, the EM-ESL is the most compelling 'affordable' audiophile-grade speaker ever brought to market.

We have complete systems starting at $3999.00 delivered with 150wpc integrated amp, DAC, speakers, and cables

ElectroMotion ESL X
Our favorite for best value in the line
$3999.98 pair

Our favorite as the best value in the electrostatic line. The larger more expensive models are better but if you are looking for the best bang for the buck the ElectroMotion ESL X is it.

The ElectroMotion ESL X features a new larger XStat™ electrostatic transducer, with a radiating area over 50 square inches larger than the EM-ESL model. The two 8-inch high-excursion woofers are housed in a non-resonant asymmetrical bass reflex (ported) chamber, in a surprisingly compact enclosure. The woofers have custom engineered high-rigidity paper cones, with extended-throw driver assemblies.
Component elements within the EM-ESL X replicate the design and performance of components used on many of MartinLogan’s more expensive loudspeakers, such as custom-wound transformers, air-core coils, large steel laminate inductors, polyester and low DF electrolytic capacitors. Custom 5-way bi-wire binding posts allow for secure wire connections. System Frequency Response is 41–22,000 Hz ±3db. Recommended amplifier power is 20–400 watts per channel. Impedance is rated at 6 ohms (1.6 ohms at 20 kHz); the EM-ESL X is compatible with 4, 6, or 8 ohm rated amplifiers. These babies sing with a reasonably priced integrated amp.

We have complete systems from $6499.00 delivered including a 300wpc integrated amp with DAC, balanced power conditioner and cables.
Just run your computer, streamer or turntable into this system for audio Nirvana!

Motion series

The Motion Series is inspired by the performance of their ultra-high-end electrostatic loudspeakers and is perfect for music or home cinema lovers. They offer full range floor-standing speakers, and gutsy compact bookshelf models, with timbre-matched centers, all featuring MartinLogan’s cutting edge Folded Motion tweeter and backed by exceptional components and hand-built crossovers. They reveal a richly detailed audio experience at unrivalled prices.

The success of the Motion Series is directly attributed to its close relation to MartinLogan’s legendary ultra-high-end electrostatic loudspeakers. The desire to transmute that level of performance into a more traditional loudspeaker at a more affordable price drove the initial design imperatives that created the Motion Series.

Subwoofers
Powerful. Compact. Precise. MartinLogan Dynamo subwoofers offer audiophile grade performance, home-friendly aesthetics, and a bevy of wireless features including app based controls, app based Anthem Room Correction, and optional wireless audio connections.

MARTINLOGAN SUB CONTROL APP
(AVAILABLE FOR iOS AND ANDROID)

MartinLogan’s Subwoofer Control app uses a Bluetooth connection to simplify setup and configuration of Dynamo 600X, 800X, 1100X, and 1600X. App based controls include volume level, low-pass filter (frequency and order), phase, 20–30Hz level, three preset listening modes, and control of Anthem Room Correction. A unique tone sweep feature assists users in locating areas in listening rooms where troublesome rattles or resonances may occur. A single press of a button allows listeners to initiate a tone sweep from 20–120Hz. If a rattle or resonance occurs in the room any frequency can be held, allowing the listener to investigate and identify the source of the unwanted noise.

Dynamo 800X
$849.99

A great sub at a reasonable cost. The 10" long throw driver combined with the 600 watt amp in a sealed box means tight clean bass for quality audio and when combined with the Anthem room correction you get a flat extended bass down to 24Hz.

The Future of Audio: Integrated Systems?

"In the end, bass on this system was deep, controlled, and less distracting than on many systems. I had a greater sense than is usual that bass was just part of the music, not something generated by an audio system." —Tom Martin, The Absolute Sound

MartinLogan Dynamo 1600X Powered Subwoofer Review

"The response I heard in the low bass was fuller than I was expecting and right up there with subwoofers that cost many times more than the Dynamo 1600X. This sub could produce these high levels over sustained periods and never even break a sweat. I mean there really were times I thought the bass would break something in the room but it just kept on keeping on."
Jim Clements, Secrets of Home Theater and High Fidelity
